Useful desktop accessories for an antique study

Tiffany lighting is well suited to study areas, particularly if you want to give your home office a traditional theme and like the thought of working in a period setting.

Our lighting solutions look stunning in study settings, buy a chunky oak desk or invest in an antique mahogany writing bureau and you can accessorise it with some or all of these features.

Tiffany 10 inch bankers’ lamp

Remember a time when you could visit your bank manager in person, speak to them one-to-one and get a decision from them based on your banking history instead of relying on a computer?

You’ll love the Tiffany bankers’ lamp then. It’s traditionally green, stands 16 inches high and looks perfect sat on the top of an art nouveau desk.

Desk top pen set

A traditional desk looks pretty bare without a formal pen set to dress it up a bit.
A wooden walnut pen set is particularly effective, pick twin fountain pens and you could have the base plate engraved for that added touch of luxury.

Blotter pad

Add a luxury leather writing pad to the desk. It’ll prevent the top of the furniture getting scratched when you jot down memos or hand-written letters.

This is another useful addition to place on top of a traditional study desk. Leather desk pads with added blotting paper look tasteful and they’ll help to keep your antique desk in great shape.

Traditional phone

Don’t want to spoil the look of your desk with a digital phone? Pick something antique instead!
Buy a classic GPO phone from the 1930s. Plenty of specialist stores stock them, they’re fully refurbished and ready to plug into modern phone lines, they’ll look right at home in your antique study.

Antique picture frame

Finally, decorate your desk with pictures of your loved ones, choose a tasteful antique picture frame and slip a family photograph inside.

It’ll look gorgeous in the daylight and look just as lovely when you switch your Tiffany banker’s lamp on at night!
